Fairies for a Birthday Party... I designed these based on a photo sent by the Mommy of a Fairy sitting in a box... the wings have disco dust (couldn't capture with the camera)...

Hadas para una fiesta de cumpleaños... las diseñe en base a una foto que me mandó la Mami de la fiesta de un hada sentada en una caja de madera... las alitas tienen disco dust, pero no pude capturarlo en la foto...

I made these COOKIES for Emilia's birth date... her mother saw an image but wanted a different colour scheme... Made some minis and a scalloped COOKIE with the name of her big sis... loved the designs and working with the mom was a pleasure... Welcome Emilia!!!

Hice estas GALLETAS para el nacimiento de Emilia... el diseño es de una imagen, pero con distintos colores... tambien hice minis y un ovalo con el nombre de la hermana grande para que lo reciba de parte de Emilia... me encantaron los diseños y trabajar con la mamá fue un placer... Bienvenida Emilia!!!

fall 2010

I just finished this in time for some of my best friends' birthday celebration... I packed them in acetate boxes to give to each one... I love Fall, and even though I can't see seasons change in Cancun, I can have fun with COOKIES... I'm trying to use what I learned at COOKIE Camp, hope you like them!

Acabo de terminar estas GALLETAS, justo a tiempo para la celebración del cumpleaños de algunas amigas... las empaqué en cajas de acetato para regalar a cada una... me encanta el Otoño, y aunque en Cancun no son evidentes los cambios de estación, puedo divertirme decorado GALLETAS... Estoy tratando de usar las técnicas que aprendí en el COOKIE Camp, espero que les gusten!

corto moltedo's cookies

I recently made this COOKIES for Corto Moltedo's Trunkshow Dinner in Cancun... this was a very exclusive dinner, and ladies from our society were invited to a new restaurant that opened in a beautiful mexican house.

I took the idea of the iron gate and bull's eye for some of the COOKIES... The PR mentioned he took 2 COOKIES back home, hope he liked them...

Hace unos días hice estas GALLETAS para la Cena del Trunkshow del diseñador Corto Moltedo en Cancun... fue una cena muy exclusiva, a donde se invitó a damas de la sociedad a un restaurant recién abierto... el local es una bellísima casa tipo mexicano...

Tomé la idea de las GALLETAS de reja y del ojo de buey de la fachada del restaurant... La RP me platicó que Corto se llevó 2 GALLETAS en su viaje de regreso, espero que le hayan gustado...

regina's dessert table

This is my daughter Regina Birthday Dessert Table. She turned 15 on June and we wanted to celebrate with family and friends, but not the traditional Quinceañera. Instead we planned a surprise party of her favorite tacos and a dessert table.

With her best friend's and our family help, we started working in the party 2 months before her birthday.

I chose pink polka dots (her favorite), and bought candy in those colors. My youngest daughter helped me find out what candy and desserts she would love if she had a party. Many of her choices were not in the color scheme so I packed them in different ways and made labels. She chose Brownies, Alfajores and my MIL made Tres Leches Cake (not shown) for dessert, and different candy, gums, chocolates, snacks... in sweet, tart and hot flavors...

She was really surprised and the Dessert Table was a blast!

Esta es la Mesa de Postres de mi hija Regina. Como iba a cumplir 15 años en Junio queríamos festejarla con una fiesta familiar y rodeada de sus amigos, pero no la tradicional Quinceañera. Así que planeamos una fiesta con sus tacos favoritos y una mesa de postres.

Con ayuda de su mejor amiga y nuestra familia, empezamos a trabajar en la fiesta 2 meses antes de su cumpleaños.

Escogí sus colores favoritos, rosa y puntos blancos, y compré dulces en esos tonos. Mi hija menor me ayudó preguntandole qué dulces le gustarían si tuviera una fiesta. Muchos de los que escogió no combinaban con la mesa, asi que los empaqué y en algunos casos hice etiquetas personalizadas. De postre eligió Brownies, Alfajores y mi suegra hizo Pastel 3 Leches (no está en la foto). Tambien escogió dulces, chocolates, chicles y botanas... algunas dulces, saladas, picosas y agridulces...

La fiesta fue una verdadera sorpresa y la Mesa de Dulces un éxito!

En los próximos días pondré fotos de algunos detalles.

This set was really fun to make... They were for a birthday party, but they are perfect for a Beach Wedding... I can use different colors and details that coordinate with the event... I liked how the Palm Tree COOKIE turned out...

Me divertí mucho haciendo estas GALLETAS... Las hice para una fiesta de cumpleaños pero son ideales para una Boda en la Playa... podría usar colores distintos y cambiar los detalles para que combinen con el evento... Me gustó mucho la GALLETA de Palmera...
