Hope you all had a great time during the holidays... Blessings to you all!
Many friends and followers ask me why I post in English... it has to do with the COOKIE community... so many decorators and blogs written in English... wonderful people that've shared their secrets and helped me... much admired "COOKIERS" that inspire me... as a treat to those that don't speak English, this year I'll start posting in English & Spanish!!

2009 christmas cookies I

As much as I dislike Christmas decorations... I love Christmas and Winter COOKIES!!! This year I found so many ideas...!! Napkins and paper plates inspired this Ornament...

A huuuuge tag, inspired these Snowmen... I used bright colors just for fun...

No inspiration needed for Holly Leaves and Berries...

My Flickr friend, Myri (T@tit@) inspired this Santa... I added some color to the hat...

This Christmas Tree was inspired on a Card I saw... I just HAD to buy it!! Last year I bought a beautiful platter, so this was a lot cheaper...

and guess who left his Hat last year? :)

cookies + happy events

I've been working on many projects... I love that COOKIES are great for special occasions... and for me, COOKIES mean Happy Events...

My brother's wedding on 11/14... family from all over the country came to Cancun... I had a great time with my aunts, working on crafts and favors for that day...

V's baby boy was born on 11/17... her husband asked for red car COOKIES...

These COOKIES traveled south to Chetumal, across the border from Belice... I loved the colors and F. was really happy with the crosses...

These were made for a 50 Anniversary celebration... the couple renewed vows and they had a big party... I had some problems while icing these COOKIES... I was almost half done with the doodles and numbers when I realized I was writing "25" instead of "50"!!! I had to bake, and ice COOKIES again... the weather was really humid, and the COOKIES were not drying... I liked how the turned out, though...

These Mario Bros. COOKIES were fun!! They were for a big birthday party... some were favors, and other were lollies...

and this week... on the first Posada day, 12/16, my new niece was born... my youngest brother told us they were having another baby on my birth day dinner, last April, so she really means a lot to me... my SIL asked for baby footprints, and my mom and I worked on a Candy project for the hospital, that they both liked...
